November 2007, LIA Airs Domestic Violence Debate on Triangle TV LIA in colloboration with Minsitry of Social Development, has produced a live debate show on Family Violence on TV; Triangle. The debate programme, comprising of community leaders, lawyers, facilitators of Domestic Violence programmes, church leaders, commences on December every Sunday for a duration of 12 weeks. The programme is part of the "its not Ok' campaign. For further details please contact LIA head office, or Joy Ramsay on 09 2700380. 2007; Demand Management Service with CYFNotifications made to CYF may be referred to LIA for a preliminary assessment. The DMS is a redesigned response to care and protection notifications. 2006; Ministry Of Justice Court Mandated ProgrammeLIA has become the first Pacific provider to gain court mandated status to provide Prevention of Domestic Violence Programmes to the community. This makes LIA the only Pacfic provider in the Northern Region (Kaitaia to Pukekohe) to be mandated by the Ministry of Justice. Whilst there are mainstream providers and other Pacific providers who are also providing these programmes, LIA is unique in so far as it is the only Pacific provider mandated to deliver this service utilising Pasifika concepts and language.
