Anger Management

PURPOSE

The Anger Management Programme is a counselling intervention programme aimed at clients who are experiencing difficulty controlling their emotional state in times of negative stress.   The Program is designed to teach respondent how to react in times of stress - in a positive and non-threatening way - and how to control their negative emotions.

OBJECTIVES

  • To get the respondent to identify and record their critical areas of negative stress (Counselling)
  • To get the respondent to take responsibility for controlling their negative reactions in stressful situations
  • To prepare an action plan to take effective action to address shortage of skills and information that empowers and supports self-dependence
  • To assist the client with information and practical guidance
  • To monitor the progress of the client towards their established goals until independence is achieved

STRUCTURE

  1. Introduction
  2. Situational analysis and needs assessment
  3. Action plan prepared and presented to client's
  4. Counselling sessions commence (Interim Evaluation conducted at midway point)
  5. Programme Evaluation – Customer Satisfaction Survey
  6. Follow Up and ongoing incremental Client Evaluation
  7. Exit Programme
