LIA is committed to providing cultural oriented services to individuals and families who are in need, and the young people who are at risk, forming working relationships with government agencies and organisations to enhance the lives of all people, guided by our five values;

LIA Services are grouped into five categories to meet the needs of the individual and their families; Education and Prevention, Family well being, Counselling, Emergency housing, and Information and advice.

Education and Prevention Services

These services promote the well being of children and young persons, and which enable their families to meet their care, control and support responsibilites, servies provided:

  • Court approved Domestic Violence Prevention Programmes
  • Services to support youth and reduce the risk of offending
Promoting Family Well Being

Services which provide support to families, services provided:

  • Aiga / family home-based support services
  • Support for at-risk children and young people and their families
  • Support services to families experiencing family violence
  • Budget Programme
  • Mediation and Disputes Resolution services (MDR)
Councelling Services

Counselling services including crisis counselling, services provided:

  • Counselling for victims of domestic violence
  • Post-crises counselling and therapy for individuals
  • Counselling and intervention for domestic violence offenders
  • Post-crises couselling for families at risk of family breakdown
Emergency Housing

Emergency accommodation and short term support accommodation assistance that provides temporary shelter for individuals and families who have difficulties in accessing permanent accommodation. Service included educations related outputs and associated services provided with accommodation

Information and Advice

Provide general advice and information the icrease the skills and strengthen the resources of individuals and families to meet their social and welfare needs
